The town of Wiley Ford is located in the northern section of Mineral County on West Virginia Route. 28, and is bordered from Cumberland, Maryland by the Potomac River.
On March 28, 1934 the community organized the volunteer fire department and in 2009 the company celebrated there 75TH Anniversary.
We run mutual aid with the following departments:
In Mineral County WV, Ridgeley (Co. 25), Short Gap (Co. 34), & FT Ashby (Co. 37).
In Allegany County MD, The city of Cumberland (Local 1715), & District 16 (Co. 7).

On March 28, 1934 the community organized the volunteer fire department with 51 members under the leadership of :

VICE PRESIDENT. H.A. Henderson,
TREASURER C.H. Newlen,
CHIEF. H.P. Hinkle,
1ST ASSISTANT CHIEF. L.E. Mathews,
CAPTAIN. B.M. Mongold
CHAPLAIN. H.A. Whitacre.
The new company responded to 4 fires using a converted Packard and buckets and has since had many historical calls including the Wiley Ford School Fire in 1950. (Pictured to the left)

The Wiley Ford Volunteer Fire Department was Established On March 28, 1934 to provide fire protection to the town of Wiley Ford and its surrounding areas. Today we operate 2 Engines, 1 Rescue, and 2 Brush units. We provide our members training on a regular basis.
